Four Links for the Day

August 11, 2010

Joe Hartgrove locates an important text from Pope Leo XIII foretelling the coming of the Tea Party and rightly urges Catholics to take their place in this movement.

Susan brings up an issue that had bothered me for some time: the obese making flying a nightmare for the rest of us. Truly, thin people are suffering a grave injustice each and everyday, high in the air beyond our daily consciousness, as she painstakingly describes. My thinking is that not only should illegal immigrants be immediately deported, fat people should be deported too. America is the land of the free and home of the brave. Nowhere does it say the land of the fat. Surely some USCCB committee should be able to whip up a statement on this important social justice issue.

Donald rightly skewers a Scottish Cardinal for questioning the authority and morality of the United States of America and defends the venerable U.S. tradition of putting criminals to a swift death.

Real Men Pray the Rosary. Nuff said.

I object to the rosary website. It advocates the use of the soul-destroying Luminous mysteries, promulgated by John Paul II’s evil twin. The rosary has fifteen decades. Fifteen! I like to pray mine after my sessions of lifting weights and target practice.

  2. Pelayo, point taken.
